Vivo Y31T 5G brings 7200mAh and IP69 to budget India phones

Vivo India has silently listed the Y31T 5G on its official site, exposing every specification for the third phone in the Y31 family. The standout numbers are a 7,200mAh typical battery and dual IP68 plus IP69 dust and water ratings on a plastic-bodied budget 5G handset that still runs OriginOS 6 on Android 16.

Pricing and sale dates stay unannounced. The listing alone already shows how far endurance and toughness have moved down the price ladder.

Display is a 6.75-inch LCD at 1608 × 720 pixels with 120 Hz refresh, 83% NTSC gamut and up to 1,250 nits HBM brightness. No local peak brightness. Capacitive multi-touch is supported.

Power comes from the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 Mobile Platform on 4 nm, with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Configurations run 4 GB + 128 GB, 6 GB + 128 GB and 6 GB + 256 GB. Extended RAM adds another 4 GB or 6 GB virtually. No microSD slot.

The T model trades the Pro’s sharper panel and faster silicon for more capacity and far stronger sealing. Extended RAM and UFS 3.1 keep day-to-day feel closer to current expectations.

Cameras, software and the clear tradeoffs

Photography stays basic: 50 MP main with f/2.0 and a 2 MP depth helper, plus an 8 MP front camera. LED flash is present. No ultra-wide or telephoto. OriginOS 6 adds AI Erase for object removal, AI captions and transcript tools, plus SuperLink networking helpers. These suit the battery-first buyer who wants software help without flagship glass.

Tradeoffs sit in plain sight. HD+ resolution on a 6.75-inch panel yields lower pixel density than FHD+ rivals. Bluetooth is stuck at 4.2. No NFC means no contactless payments. Storage cannot expand. That would place it above the original Y31 yet still inside the volume band where most 5G upgrades happen. Official confirmation will settle the exact tags and any launch offers.

The handset will sell through Vivo’s own online store and likely major retailers once the green light comes. Three memory options and three colors give choice without exploding SKUs.
