The Infinix GT 50 Pro Cooler Loses the Stress Test

The Infinix GT 50 Pro ships a windowed liquid loop and an exclusive magnetic cooler, and independent stress tests show both can lose to a naked phone. Infinix opened Philippine sales on June 10, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. through its TikTok Shop, with first-sale cuts of P2,000 off the 12GB plus 256GB and 12GB plus 512GB models.

The company framed the handset around Physical Refinement, Thermal Sovereignty, and Intelligent Optimization. The pitch asked gamers to believe a mid-range Dimensity chip needed a visible pump, and a puck that only this phone can use for wireless bypass charging.

A Liquid Loop You Can Switch Off

Infinix’s official GT 50 Pro gaming brief puts HydroFlow Liquid Cooling Architecture at the center of the product. A dual piezoelectric ceramic micro-pump moves coolant across a 6,437mm² diaphragm at 6.5ml per minute, under a triangular window in the lower back, with RGB strips Infinix calls Mechanical Light Waves.

The loop is not always on. GT Zone in XOS 16 lets you disable it, pick among three working modes, and even add sounds and vibration so you can hear the pump working. That toggle is a strange thing to ship if the loop is doing essential thermal work.

In April, the brand’s global account teased the phone by asking owners for their craziest overheating fix, fridge and face-cooling included, and promised a unit to one replier on April 27. The replies that followed were wet towels, AC vents, and a minute in a refrigerator. Infinix sold the GT 50 Pro into that kitchen folklore.

Hardware reviewer Irene Okpanachi, testing a Cooling Edition unit in Black Abyss, noted that RedMagic’s 11 Pro had already shipped flowing liquid coolant in late 2025. Infinix’s version is the window you can watch, plus a software switch.

The MagCharge Cooler 2.0 Lost the Stress Test

The GT MagCharge Cooler 2.0 is the exclusive accessory Infinix wrapped around that loop. The 12W thermoelectric cooler spec sheet lists 15W wireless charging, about 80 grams, a 65mm by 23.5mm puck, a 5,000 RPM fan, and 33dB operation with a 36dB max. Wireless bypass charging, which sends power to the chipset instead of the cell, works only on the GT 50 Pro.

The puck will not sit on the bare back. Okpanachi found it needs the included MagCool case, whose stronger magnets make the mount, and that plastic case is a poor way to dump heat. A June lab stress run on a naked phone, no case and no cooler, held 77% on CPU and 76% on GPU. Clip on the case and cooler, and those fell to 74% and 71%.

The cooler’s contact face does run cold. The case traps heat first, and the puck only partly cancels that. Lay the phone on its back with the fan against a desk and the accessory starts to overheat. Bypass wireless charging is the one extra the puck clearly adds, and it is a niche you can live without.

HOW THE COOLING SETUPS SCORED

Those last three rows are a different test from the CPU and GPU stress runs, and the 90.9% figure is the only one taken while the puck was feeding the phone wireless power. Peak 3DMark in that charging pass fell to 10,187 from 10,912, while the lowest loop rose to 9,260. Battery drain was 1%, because the fan was also a charger.

What HydroFlow Changes During a Ranked Match

Turn the loop on without the puck and the 20-loop 3DMark run got slightly worse, not better. Stability dropped from 79.4% to 76.1%. The lowest loop fell from 8,661 to 8,299. Skin temperature still reached 53°C, against 51°C with the pump off, and the frame-rate band narrowed from 33-73fps to 31-69fps. Okpanachi’s own write-up put that finding in plain language.

With liquid cooling active, the phone showed no dramatic changes. However, stability jumped to 90.9% when I attached the MagCharge cooler, and the lowest loop score improved significantly to 9,260.

On a naked phone, then, HydroFlow is a visible circuit you can watch through the back glass. The MagCharge pass is the first time the extra hardware clearly lifts a long GPU loop, and it does that while charging, with a thicker grip that makes the shoulder triggers harder to reach.

MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400 all-big-core design claims 41% higher multi-core performance and 44% lower peak power than the Dimensity 8300, plus more than 24% higher GPU peak and 42% less GPU power, with MediaTek Frame Rate Converter in the pipeline.

Infinix quotes an AnTuTu score of more than 2,224,634, a 26.45% lift over the GT 30 Pro. An independent AnTuTu v11 run landed at 2,139,330. Geekbench 6 on the same lab bench was 1,636 single-core and 6,806 multi-core, and 3DMark Wild Life Extreme hit 4,132. Repeating those synthetic tests with the cooler attached did not change the scores.

GT 50 PRO AGAINST ITS OWN LINE

A Poco X8 Pro on Dimensity 8500 Ultra sat close, at 6,298 multi-core and 4,103 in Wild Life Extreme. The chart-topper in that set was Poco’s X8 Pro Max on Dimensity 9500s. The GT 50 Pro is a strong mid-ranger with a gaming skin, not a new silicon class. RAM is 12GB LPDDR5X with up to 12GB extended, and storage is UFS 4.1 in 256GB or 512GB, with no microSD slot.
