Adecco Crosses 1.2 Million AI-Powered Candidate Interactions
Adecco’s 1.2 million AI-powered candidate interactions cut time-to-deliver by 50%. The always-on hiring model and the trust gap behind the numbers.
Adecco, the world’s leading workforce solutions provider, said on June 10, 2026 that it has crossed 1.2 million AI-powered candidate interactions across 10 countries, in the Adecco’s 1.2M AI candidate interactions announcement on the company’s press page. The figure is drawn from a network of seven AI agents working across the recruitment lifecycle. The activity spans 10 countries, with 6 of those running on Salesforce’s Agentforce 360 platform after the March 2026 unlimited license between the Adecco Group and the vendor.
51% of those interactions now take place outside traditional working hours, a reordering of when a job interview happens and who gets to show up to one.
The 1.2 Million Mark, Broken Down
Adecco has logged 1.2 million candidate-agent interactions, including 250,000 fully completed interviews, across 50,000 jobs, totalling more than 12 years of continuous conversation time. The interactions span pre-screening, talent pool management, recruiter support, customer service, onboarding and voice capability. All AI agents are subject to ongoing human oversight, per the press release.
At 1.2 million interactions, this is no longer about potential, it’s about proven impact.
Christophe Catoir, Adecco’s Global President and CEO, said the milestone in the company’s June 10, 2026 release. He framed the rollout as “talent, tech and touch”: AI and human connection working together, with no loss of the local presence from the firm’s 3,500 branches.
- 250,000 fully completed interviews
- 50,000 jobs covered
- more than 12 years of continuous conversation time
- 50% cut to time-to-deliver in lead markets
- above 80% fill rates in lead markets
The Adecco Group runs three global business units, Adecco, Akkodis and LHH, across 60 countries and supports around 27,000 recruiters.
The Adecco Group has been publishing AI hiring metrics since the launch of its r.potential platform in April 2025, in partnership with Salesforce. Adecco’s March 2026 unlimited license with Salesforce runs through 2027.
Seven Agents Across the Hiring Lifecycle
Seven AI agents, not one, now run across the recruitment lifecycle at Adecco. They are spread across pre-screening, talent pool management, recruiter support, customer service, onboarding and voice capability, a footprint the company describes as “a broader transformation of recruitment delivery, rather than a single-point automation.” Together, they automate the parts of hiring that recruiters have always done in volume but rarely seen as value-add.
The six stages explicitly named in the announcement:
- Pre-screening
- Talent pool management
- Recruiter support
- Customer service
- Onboarding
- Voice capability
A seventh stage runs alongside them. Adecco counts seven distinct stages in total but enumerates six by name in its June 10 statement.
51% of Interactions Now Happen Outside Office Hours
51% of all candidate interactions now happen outside traditional working hours, a pattern consistent with Adecco’s UK pilot, where 57% of conversations took place outside standard working hours. The early-wave UK rollout, which helped 28 companies fill vacancies, posted a 4.6 out of 5 candidate satisfaction rating. That UK candidate number is well above the 4.3 out of 5 customer satisfaction the company now reports across all lead markets.
The staffing front desk has effectively become 24/7. Niki Turner-Harding, managing director of Adecco UK & Ireland, framed the UK rollout as AI-empowered, human-centric recruitment in the first UK rollout of Adecco’s AI agents.
For candidates, the shift opens up recruitment to people who couldn’t engage with a 9-to-5 staffing shop: shift workers, parents re-entering the workforce, second-job seekers. For the staffing firm, the front desk is open 24 hours a day, and the recruiters inside spend more of their time on judgment calls and less on triage. The 4.3 out of 5 customer satisfaction across lead markets is the candidate experience number attached to the new model.
The 51% number also gives Adecco a metric its competitors will struggle to match without a comparable AI backbone, in a market where front-desk staffing has historically tracked office hours because recruiters do. When the front desk is software, the office-hours constraint disappears, and the conversation happens whenever the candidate reaches out, not when the recruiter’s office is open.
The Redeployment Agent Reorders the Recruiter’s Day
The Redeployment Agent is the one piece of the network the press release flags as a flagship innovation, and the one with the clearest day-to-day effect on recruiters. Rather than letting a candidate disappear when an assignment ends, the agent proactively reconnects within days, captures feedback, and builds a personalised profile of the candidate’s next move. The point is to keep the candidate warm between contracts and shorten the gap to the next placement.
The agent is one of seven, and it works alongside the rest of the network. Pre-screening, shortlisting and workflow coordination are now automated, freeing Adecco’s recruiters to focus on relationships with clients and candidates. The 3,500 Adecco branches worldwide still provide the local presence; the AI agents provide the always-on intake. Catoir calls the combination “talent, tech and touch.”
In a labour market where temporary and contract work now accounts for the majority of new hires in several European economies, that gap is where most of the value leaks out of a placement firm. The agent is the operational answer to the gap problem, and it runs on the same Agentforce 360 backbone as the rest of the network.
Salesforce Underpins a 50% Revenue Target
The engine behind those agents is Salesforce’s Agentforce 360. The Adecco Group signed a multi-year unlimited license for the platform in March 2026, running through 2027, and has set a target for more than 50% of Adecco’s revenues to be powered by agentic AI by the end of 2026. The terms of the Salesforce’s unlimited Agentforce 360 license with Adecco lay out the rollout across multiple markets.
Agentforce 360 helped Adecco generate 15 percent time savings in the UK pilot, with significantly reduced time-to-fill, increased fill rates, and lowered cost-to-serve, per the joint announcement. Madhav Thattai, EVP and GM of Agentforce at Salesforce, said the deal reflects “a transition from AI pilots to full enterprise deployment.” The deployment is supported by a Data 360 layer that unifies information from more than 30 Salesforce instances and enterprise systems, giving Adecco’s roughly 27,000 recruiters a single real-time candidate profile. The platform runs the candidate profiles that the redeployment agent also pulls from.
On the metrics Adecco has reported, the two snapshots look like this:
| Metric | UK pilot | Global rollout, lead markets |
|---|---|---|
| Time savings | 15 percent | 50% time-to-deliver cut |
| Fill rate | “Significantly increased” | above 80% |
| Cost-to-serve | “Lowered” | Not disclosed |
| Satisfaction | 4.6 out of 5 (candidates) | 4.3 out of 5 (customer) |
| Share outside office hours | 57% | 51% |
By the close of 2026, Adecco expects agentic AI to drive more than 50% of its revenue. The figure is a target set by the company, with the result to be measured at year-end. The Group’s nearshore and offshore hubs, in India, Poland, Mexico and Morocco, carry the operational load. The next phase focuses on orchestrating additional agents in the UK, expanding the rollout in France and other key geographies, and rolling out Agentforce Voice, a Salesforce contact-center product, into recruiter communications.
The Trust Deficit AI Hiring Hasn’t Solved
Only 26 percent of job applicants trust AI to evaluate them fairly, per a Gartner survey cited in the Gartner survey on AI hiring trust coverage of the Salesforce deal. Another 25 percent say they trust employers less when AI is used in hiring decisions. 53 percent worry about bias in AI-driven recruitment systems, and 20 percent believe AI tools could introduce new forms of discrimination in hiring.
Adecco’s response, in the press release’s notes to editors, is a set of compliance and oversight commitments. All AI-powered recruitment tools are developed in line with applicable laws on automated decision-making in employment, including transparency, candidate notification and bias auditing. All AI agents are subject to ongoing human oversight, and candidates can request human review of decisions that affect their applications. Candidate data is processed in line with the EU GDPR and other local privacy regimes.
A separate review found AI fatigue hit 54% of Americans as excitement for the technology collapsed to 19% (see why ‘AI-powered’ has become a marketing liability). The 26 percent trust number is the one Adecco will have to grow if the 50% revenue target is going to land, and the evidence on that side is the candidate’s view. The 1.2M figure does not include any breakdown by candidate sentiment.
Where the Rollout Goes From Here
Additional agents and country expansions are scheduled over the next two months, with the AI-enabled recruitment model extending into further high-growth talent markets. Six countries now run Salesforce-deployed agents; the global count of countries with AI agents in production is 10. The Latin America footprint, which used Orbio AI as a partner during a one-year experimentation phase, is now preparing to expand into additional countries, particularly in sectors that require large-scale talent deployment. The 50% revenue target runs through the rest of 2026.
The 1.2M mark shows the technology is producing real candidate interactions at scale. The 26 percent trust figure sits at 26 percent, with the 50% revenue target at stake. By the close of 2026, both numbers will be in the year-end results.
